The first photovoltaic installation on the roof of a tent hall with a capacity of up to 15kWp is a dedicated solution that was created thanks to the cooperation of Pol-Plan engineers and SolarSpot.
The insulated hall with dimensions of 10x20x4.2 m will serve as an automobile repair shop in Austria. There are also separate offices in the hall. The photovoltaic installation is able to provide energy for workshop lifts and other equipment, heating and lighting of the hall.
The photovoltaic installation of a 36 PV Risen modules on the roof of the tent hall requires the adjustment of the entire structure to carry additional loads so that all parameters, including the ability to carry local wind and snow loads, are maintained.

The optimal orientation for PV modules is on the roof surface facing south
As a result, the solar installation will produce the largest amount of electricity annually. If the roof pitch from the south is up to 45 °, the annual energy loss compared to the optimal “southern” installation usually does not exceed 5-10%.
In the case of installations on the eastern or western roof slope, the annual energy production loss in relation to the optimal “southern” installation will be around 15-25%.
